According to my DK Holland Book the following items are Dutch treats that I should be enjoying in order to be a true Cloggie. Some I have come across before but in honour of 2008 and my desire to become a true Cloggie I shall go out in search of each item and feedback my thoughts after consumption.1. Speculaas – biscuits flavoured with cinnamon, cloves and ginger
2. Edam Cheese – pretty clear what it is
3. Zeeland Butter Candies – glucose sugar syrup and butter sweets made in Zeeland
4. Haagse Hopjes – coffee flavoured sweets
5. Dutch Beer – Amstel, Heineken, Brand
6. Zaans Mustard – corse mustard made in Zaanse Schans
7. Gingerbread – again pretty clear
8. Liquorice Drop – sold either salted or sweet
9. Spirits – Jenever, Sonnema Herenburg, Zwarte Kip Advocaat
